Color is coming
Hopefully!
But there is still snow on the ground. 'Tis ok.

And a little montage of the work going on..most pieces are available in my Etsy shop.
Spring
To what purpose, April, do you return again?
Beauty is not enough.
You can no longer quiet me with the redness
Of little leaves opening stickily.
I know what I know.
The sun is hot on my neck as I observe
The spikes of the crocus.
The smell of the earth is good.
It is apparent that there is no death.
But what does that signify?
Not only under ground are the brains of men
Eaten by maggots.
Life in itself
Is nothing,
An empty cup, a flight of uncarpeted stairs.
It is not enough that yearly, down this hill,
April
Comes like an idiot, babbling and strewing flowers.

a quiet time for now
Still working daily, although my photo taking has slacked off. I'm trying to limit the online time, and photo editing really does eat up a lot of time. Good to keep track of the work, though, since my brain tends to forget these days.
Watching the blooms start to do their thing. And taking in the season of change and growth. New work postings soon. A small sample of work going on . Mostly textile and paint.
..and some new growth here too.

Diebenkorn

Richard Diebenkorn, to me was a painter's painter. He is probably most famous for is 'Ocean Park' series, which were very large canvases painted in an abstract expressionist way. I love his treatment with paint, the way he used his medium. I have been happy to see his work several times, and love all his stuff..
