by the sea

I've taken some better pictures of some recent works..this is hand and machine stitched, appliqued,, beaded and couched.. a detail shot

Thanks so much for stopping by. I wish I would have the initiative to sew...I HATE IT...although I do make hand-sewn Victorian lampshades. They're alot of work and expence, but beautiful when finished, but the eternal procrastinator, I have 3 projects in the works and no ambition to finish...hmmmm...maybe if I stayed off the computer...

Your work is beautiful and so full of color, I especially love the oranges. I lived in Florida for a few years and got to witness the groves before they started tearing them up for housing additions...bummer!

I love the curving lines that spiral through out this piece. It makes me want to brave doing more embroidery on my pieces. Did some last night, French Knots! ;-)
