Even though it doesn't look like the picture on the bottom, the art quilt was distilled from that view, just in a different season!
With hand dyed fabric (I'm really loving this process, and have lots of hand dyed silk stuff to show you)!
Not a whole lot of embellishment , an excercise in restraint.

the terracotta warriors are in DC
Since a trip to Xi'an is not in the forcast, my son and I took advantage of an exhibit in Washington DC's National Geographic Museum happening through March 31st.
It was awesome! Even for a 15 year old! This is a 'reading' exhibit, and it helps to do a little homework before you go..

March FCCA show
A great start to the show at Fredericksburg Center for the Creative Arts..
My fiber work with the wonderful Audrey Bruno's photography. We did not know each other, nor pick each other to show together, amazingly enough the show went together like peas and carrots.
