progress

This is an old tank by the train crossing near by. I'm sure it's been long out of use.. It is the subject of the next set of paintings.. progress or not? I seem to be enamored of rust lately. And this is one big rusty thing. Maybe 'transition' is a better title.

time out

Two paintings juried into shows, now that's a great way to go through a week! Funny, too, it's always the ones you don't think will make it...
A cup of tea and a ray of sunlight. Back to work this afternoon.

balance

I don't seem to be the kind of artist that can work on one thing at a time. I work on organic, fluid subjects, then crave the concrete, solid blocks of man made forms. I used to feel pretty guilty about this, but now I just accept it. Hence the name of this blog..
Artist and crafter. I don't fit exactly into either world. That's ok.

lady e

This is from Pam Allen's "Scarf Style". The Lady Elinor. There is entire online groups dedicated to this pattern. I love it, I loved knitting it, and I'm on my 4th right now! This was done in Kureon, a yarn I adore, in Fall colors. My idea was to to one for Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall..I'm on Summer right now..

green

I've been to Ireland twice, and I really loved it. Extremely nice people, unbelieveable landscapes. 1000 shades of green. Really.

Which road to take? The road less traveled, filled with potholes? Or the easy way, the way we know?
